Industrial Chic

While the term “Industrial Chic” may at first conjure up visions of something mass made and sterile, this trend is anything but, instead focused on items that have a sense of history dating back to the early 1900’s when the industrial age first began. Metal plays a big part of the style with machined iron and steel paired with unfinished wood for a look that is delightfully nostalgic.

What's great about this look is that you can add just one or tow key pieces to a transitional room to inject the unexpected. This metal pendant light as seen in the photo below. This cool vintage light gives a rustic yet utilitarian style to the decor.

You find metal seating used primarily in Industrial Chic designs. This gives the room a rustic yet masculine twist on seating.
